Venture Outdoors is a member-supported local non-profit organization working to make it easy for you to get outside. We provide a variety of activities that inspire an active lifestyle, promote the region’s unique amenities, highlight its excellent quality of life, and foster a greater appreciation for the environment.

We offer over 750 public and customized programs a year including kayaking, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, fishing, cross country skiing, rock climbing, and geocaching trips. Our activities are for all ages and skill levels, and we travel to local, city, county and state parks around the region. Venture Outdoors owns and operates Kayak Pittsburgh, a kayak rental concession with three locations: North Shore, North Park, and Aspinwall. The organization supports community events with family-focused activities like our 24′ portable rock wall.
