South Hills Interfaith Ministries
South Hills Interfaith Ministries is a human services organization dedicated to providing the resources necessary for struggling families to achieve self-sufficiency. We provide Direct Assistance (such as food, clothing, and utility assistance) as well as offering a variety of Family Support Programs (including financial literacy classes, an early childhood program, a summer day camp, and a family support center).
SHIM actively engages volunteers in all aspect s of our programming.
SHIM’s multiple food pantries assist families confronting food insecurity.
Gardens supported by local congregations provide fresh, nutritional vegetables.
Cooking demonstrations provide educational opportunities for those we are serving.
In mid-October SHIM sponsors a participatory 5K walk/run on the Montour Trails in Bethel Park.
