Heart Resources, LLC is a mission-driven grant company dedicated to working with organizations to improve quality of life in Western Pennsylvania. Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed., President has earned the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential, and was the first individual to receive designation as an Approved Trainer by the Grant Professionals Association. In 2021 our grants totaled more than $25 million dollars for funded programs, capital renovations, and operations for nonprofit organizations in Allegheny County and Western PA.

Katherine is a former health and fitness professional who managed nonprofit programs, and has made hundreds of presentations on health, fitness and grant topics over the past 40 years. She is the author of TELLINGS: From Wound to Wellspring (Outskirts Press, 2008), and is deeply committed to promoting public health and behavioral health through Heart Resources, LLC. She is a Federal grant reviewer for traumatic stress initiatives, and served as a 2012-13 Voice Awards Fellow with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Katherine has presented national webinars for SAMHSA, the American Therapeutic Recreation Association, and Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery. Heart Resources, LLC is a Participating Organization in Healthy People 2020 and has partnered with municipal and nonprofit organizations to develop community wellness projects (at http://www.heartresources.net/wellness-projects).

Heart Resources, LLC is a PA Registered Fundraising Counsel specializing in grant and technical writing services, including: (1) consultation, planning and development for complex programs and projects requiring multiple funders; (2) grant opportunities research to identify matching foundations, corporations, United Way, and local, state and federal government programs; (3) developing/ writing all types of grant applications and related documents (Concept Papers, Letters of Inquiry, grant proposals, online applications, reports); (4) training and assisting organizational grant teams to prepare federal and PA government grant applications; (5) technical writing/editing for White Papers, Request for Proposals (RFP) and bid documents; and (6) providing grant training presentations and seminars on all aspects of grant seeking and proposal writing.
