Our mission is to expand, connect and enhance the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and to engage our communities on and near the rivers in trail use, Trail Stewardship, and economic growth.

Friends of the Riverfront works closely with municipalities and landowners develop riverfront trails and water access points so that the public can connect with our magnificent rivers. Friends also works year round to steward our riverfront trails by recruiting and managing community volunteers. Each year we work with around 1000 volunteers to plant trees, manage invasive species, and pick-up litter from our riverfronts. In 2019 our volunteers removed over 14,000 pounds of garbage!

Our volunteers represent all ages and areas of the city and County: families, college students , businesses benefiting from team building and Cycling and running groups .
