Allegheny Land Trust (ALT) is a nationally accredited, non-profit land trust that has been helping local people save local land in Western Pennsylvania for 25-years.

Guided by four strategic imperatives (Land Conservation, Stewardship, Urban Greening and Education) ALT has protected more than 2,100 acres in Allegheny County to preserve our region’s unique natural beauty, provide accessible outdoor recreational opportunities, improve water quality, sustain biodiversity and enhance the overall quality of life for all. The organization currently manages 27 conversation areas in multiple municipalities across the region with nearly all of them open to the public for a variety of healthy outdoor recreational pursuits.
