Physical movement and the freedom to play improves children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
Children and their parents, and community members are invited to join the Recess Advocacy Team to discuss their school recess experiences. Families will also have the opportunity to experience the MuseumLab for FREE from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Conversation, activities, and pizza will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Learning Lab 1.
Grow Pittsburgh runs this class twice a year for folks starting community gardens or seeking a refresh of energy for their established gardens. This class is focused on building the “people power” of your garden space before and while your garden is being built to help ensure longevity and thriving, and prevent burnout.
- Because of COVID-19, we had to cancel our big summer kickoff party. But, bicycling is an approved social distancing activity, so the bike giveaway lives on!
Kids 18 and under qualify for a free bike!
- Fill out the google form on our website (millvalelibrary.org), one form/child!
- Come by the library backyard at your assigned time one June 6th to pick up your bike, sign up for summer reading, and learn about the virtual programming at the MCL this summer!
