Open Streets Carnegie

September 24, 2016 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
W. & E. Main Streets - Carnegie

On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the Borough of Carnegie will be holding its first “Open Streets Carnegie” event that will take place in and around the local business district.

West Main and East Main Streets will be closed from Jefferson Street to Washington Avenue from 9:00 a.m. to noon in order to allow for residents and visitors to participate in health conscience activities. Many local and surrounding businesses and organizations will be giving demonstrations and lessons that will include yoga, dance, physical therapy, skateboarding, bicycling and other activities to name just a few. There will be many different activities, and the closed streets will allow for individuals to choose exactly what they would like to do in a safe environment, such as walking, running, biking or even roller skating. The goal of Open Streets Carnegie is to get people outside enjoying outdoor activities, and also learn more about what the business district of Carnegie has to offer.
